About the Translator
Jing Ning ( 宁 静 ), Associate Professor, Ph.D., serves as the head of the provincially premier undergraduate program in Medical English Interpretation and the supervisor for master's students. Over the past five years, Prof. Ning has spearheaded and contributed to over ten educational and scientific research projects at the national, provincial, and industrial levels. Prof. Ning's scholarly publications, both as first and corresponding author, have been indexed by prestigious databases such as AHCI & SSCI, CSSCI, PKU Core journals, EI, and have garnered attention in influential newspapers and magazines.
In addition to academic pursuits, Prof. Ning has had the distinguished honor of serving as a conference interpreter at the EU headquarters and the United Nations Office at Geneva. Prof. Ning has also provided interpretation services for medical conferences, including the 2nd Sino-Australia Global Health and Tropical Medicine Symposium, the International Symposium on Thalassemia and Prevention of Birth Defects, and the 4th APASL Special Conference on Hepatitis B Virus, etc.
Prof. Ning's editorial and translation works include the Establishment of a Quality Clinical Research Protection System and the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia. Furthermore, Prof. Ning co-authored the national textbook Writing Tutorial for the Standardized Foreign Language Examination for Medical Doctoral Candidates. With respect to professional affiliations, Prof. Ning currently holds several prominent positions: Council Member of the Medical Language and Translation Professional Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese; Expert Member of the Translators Association of China; Council Member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Translation and International Dissemination Professional Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research; and Council Member of the 8th Council of the Guangdong Translators Association.
