Abstract

This study focuses on the enhancement of career commitment among teachers in western local universities from the perspective of psychological contracts. Western local universities play a crucial role in the development of higher education, and teachers' career commitment significantly impacts teaching quality and long-term institutional development. The psychological contract, as an implicit and unspoken set of expectations and commitments between teachers and universities, profoundly influences teachers' career commitment. Therefore, universities should improve organizational support systems, provide sufficient career development resources, optimize salary incentives, and foster a positive work environment. From the perspective of teachers themselves, self-adjustment and career planning should be strengthened. This study aims to provide theoretical and practical references for enhancing teachers' career commitment, stabilizing faculty teams, improving educational quality, and promoting sustainable development in western local universities.
