Abstract

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, machine translation has made remarkable progress. However, to achieve high-quality translation in a true sense, machines must be able to understand and handle the complexity of human language. As a discipline for studying the cognitive process of human beings, cognitive psychology provides an important theoretical basis and practical guidance for artificial intelligence translation. This paper aims to explore the role of cognitive psychology in the development of AI translation, analyze how it can help improve translation algorithms, improve the quality of translation, and explore future directions.
