Digital Transformation of Vocational Education: Connotation, Challenges and Pathways

Abstract
Digital transformation has become a key path for vocational education reform in the new era, with its internal impetus coming from the strong drive of scientific and technological development and the urgent need for self-improvement of schools; and its external impetus including the double push of policy support and market demand. However, the digital transformation of vocational education is still facing challenges such as uneven distribution of resources, disconnection between industry and education, financial and technical bottlenecks, and insufficient digital literacy of teachers. In this regard, it is necessary to seek breakthroughs in four dimensions: technological risk prevention, government policy leadership, collaborative support from enterprises, and comprehensive efforts from schools.
