Journal: Modern Economics & Management Forum DOI: 10.32629/memf.v6i6.4656
Abstract
As an important means of preventing and controlling national governance risks, national audit plays an important role in ensuring national financial security. In order to study the impact of the implementation of national audit on the risk of local government debt, an empirical test was conducted based on the data of 30 provinces, cities, autonomous regions and municipalities in China from 2013 to 2021. The results show that the greater the implementation of national audit, the stronger the inhibition of local government debt risk, and the inhibition effect is achieved by improving the financial transparency of local governments.
