Abstract

The internationalization process of Hainan Free Trade Port is continuously accelerating. The demand for professional English translation talents in fields such as cross-border trade, foreign affairs communication, and cultural and tourism cooperation is becoming increasingly urgent. University English translation teaching, as a core link for cultivating students' cross-cultural translation abilities and meeting the needs of talents for the Free Trade Port, its teaching quality directly affects students' career competitiveness and the supply level of international talents for the Free Trade Port. Currently, university English translation teaching in Hainan universities has problems such as teaching content being disconnected from the Free Trade Port scenario, lack of targeted translation training, lagging error correction and feedback, and insufficient practical application. These issues make it difficult to meet the training requirements of the Free Trade Port for comprehensive translation talents. This paper, based on the background of Hainan Free Trade Port construction, proposes reform measures for AIGC-assisted university English translation teaching, providing practical references for the reform of university English translation teaching in Hainan universities, and helping to cultivate international talents for the Free Trade Port.
