Research Progress of Omentin-1 in Disease Diagnosis: A Review

Abstract
Omentin-1, an adipokine secreted by visceral adipose tissue, plays a key role in various diseases by regulating insulin sensitivity, inflammation, and vascular health. Its diagnostic value is increasing, although challenges remain due to limited standardization and an incomplete understanding of its mechanisms. These challenges highlight the need for further research to improve its clinical application for the early detection and prognosis of metabolic and inflammatory conditions.
