Abstract
Morandi‑style still‑life provides Chinese contemporary still‑life oil painters with a reductive creative mindset, instead of mere copies of his bottles, muted hues and serene atmosphere. Painters adopt minimalist compositional strategies, including streamlined subjects, narrowed spacing and subdued colour disturbance, to endow native‑themed objects with symbolic weight. Artists ought to inherit his rigorous connections between items rather than blindly imitating his style. With local textures like matte porcelain, frayed fabric and soft indoor lighting, works stay concise yet substantial, rooted in native features and keeping steady visual tension for modern‑day value.
