Abstract

Song brocade is a representative silk weaving technique in China, whose intricate patterns and elegant designs embody unique traditional aesthetic values. Modern fashion design revitalizes this ancient craft through material innovation, pattern adaptation, and weaving technique improvements, creating textiles that align with contemporary aesthetics and practical clothing requirements. Designers preserve the original weaving characteristics of Song brocade while integrating modern cutting techniques, fabric modifications, and visual design concepts, resulting in garments that blend traditional charm with contemporary style. These innovations have expanded the application scope of silk fabrics and endowed fashion design with profound cultural significance and diverse artistic expressions.
