Effect Evaluation of Psychological Nursing Intervention Model for COVID-19 Patients

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of psychological nursing intervention on the anxiety, depression, fear and other adverse psychological problems of COVID-19 patients. Methods: are selected from January 24, 2020 to February 28, 2020 in our hospital for 23 cases of COVID-19 patients were the subjects of the study. The patients were given psychological care interventions when they were admitted to the hospital until they were discharged. Use Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), Symptom Check List-90 (SCL-90) and fear scale to perform psychological evaluations when the patients were admitted to the hospital (T1), one week after the psychological intervention was implemented (T2), and when they were discharged (T3). Results The SAS, SDS, and SCL-90 fear factor scores of T2 were lower than those of T1 (P<0.05), and the SAS, SDS, and SCL-90 fear factor scores of T3 were lower than those of T2 (P<0.05). Conclusion The psychological nursing intervention model established in this study can effectively improve COVID-19 patients’ adverse psychological problems of the anxiety, depression, fear, etc.
