Abstract

Objective: The main focus of this study is to explore the clinical effects of 3D endoscopy in total thyroidectomy and central lymph node dissection. Methods: Eighty patients undergoing thyroid cancer total thyroidectomy at Shengjing Hospital, China Medical University, from February 2017 to March 2018, were divided into two groups. The experimental group, consisting of 40 patients, underwent treatment using 3D endoscopy, while the control group, also comprising 40 patients, underwent treatment using 2D endoscopy. A comparison was made between the two groups in terms of the incidence of adverse reactions and relevant clinical indicators. Results: Whether in terms of surgical time, blood loss, or postoperative drainage, the experimental group performed better than the control group. Additionally, there were no significant differences between the two groups in postoperative hospital stay, lymph node dissection frequency, lymph node metastasis quantity, and cost. Regarding the incidence of adverse reactions, the experimental group and the control group were 7.50% and 30.00%, respectively, with the former significantly lower than the latter, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant. Conclusion: 3D endoscopy exhibits good clinical effects in total thyroidectomy and central lymph node dissection, effectively improving patient outcomes, and is worthy of promotion.
